Genesis

1:26
Then God said, "Let Us  make man  in Our image, according to Our likeness; and let them rule over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the sky  and over the cattle and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth."

1:27

God created man in His own image, in the image of God He created him; male  and female He created them.

1:6

Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan also came among them.

Isaiah

14:12

"How you have fallen  from heaven, O star of the morning, son of the dawn! You have been cut down to the earth, You who have weakened the nations!

14:13

"But you said in your heart, 'I will ascend  to heaven; I will raise  my throne above the stars of God, And I will sit on the mount of assembly In the recesses of the north.

14:14

'I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will make myself like the Most High.'

14:15

"Nevertheless you will be thrust down to Sheol, To the recesses of the pit.

14:16

"Those who see you will gaze at you, They will ponder over you, {saying,} 'Is this the man who made the earth tremble, Who shook kingdoms,

14:17

Who made the world like a wilderness And overthrew its cities, Who did  not allow his prisoners to {go} home?'

Zechariah

14:4

In that day His feet will stand on the Mount of Olives, which is in front of Jerusalem on the east; and the Mount of Olives will be split  in its middle from east to west by a very large valley, so that half of the mountain will move toward the north and the other half toward the south.

14:5

You will flee by the valley of My mountains, for the valley of the mountains will reach to Azel; yes, you will flee just as you fled before the earthquake  in the days of Uzziah king of Judah. Then  the LORD, my God, will come, {and} all the holy ones with Him!

14:6

In that day there will be no  light; the luminaries  will dwindle.

14:7

For it will be a  unique day which is known to the LORD, neither day nor night, but it will come about that at evening  time there will be light.

14:8

And in that day living  waters will flow out of Jerusalem, half of them toward the eastern sea and the other half toward the western sea; it will be in summer as well as in winter.

14:9

And the LORD will be king over all the earth; in that day the LORD will be {the only} one, and His name {the only} one.

14:10

All the land will be changed into a plain from Geba  to Rimmon  south of Jerusalem; but Jerusalem  will rise and remain on its site from Benjamin's  Gate as far as the place of the First Gate to the Corner  Gate, and from the Tower  of Hananel to the king's wine presses.

14:11

People will live in it, and there will no  longer be a curse, for Jerusalem will dwell  in security.

Matthew

4:2

And after He had fasted  forty days and forty nights, He then became hungry.

4:3

And the  tempter came and said to Him, "If You are the Son  of God, command that these stones become bread."

4:4

But He answered and said, "It  is written, 'MAN SHALL NOT LIVE ON BREAD ALONE, BUT ON EVERY WORD THAT PROCEEDS OUT OF THE MOUTH OF GOD.' "

4:5

Then the devil *took Him into the  holy city and had Him stand on the pinnacle of the temple,

4:6

and *said to Him, "If You are the Son of God, throw Yourself down; for it is written, 'HE WILL COMMAND HIS ANGELS CONCERNING YOU'; and 'ON {their} HANDS THEY WILL BEAR YOU UP, SO THAT YOU WILL NOT STRIKE YOUR FOOT AGAINST A STONE.' "

4:7

Jesus said to him, "On  the other hand, it is written, 'YOU SHALL NOT PUT THE LORD YOUR GOD TO THE TEST.' "

4:8

Again,  the devil *took Him to a very high mountain and *showed Him all the kingdoms of the world and their glory;

4:9

and he said to Him, "All these things I will give You, if You fall down and worship  me."

4:10

Then Jesus *said to him, "Go,  Satan! For it is written, 'YOU SHALL WORSHIP THE LORD YOUR GOD, AND SERVE  HIM ONLY.' "

4:11

Then the devil *left Him; and behold, angels  came and {began} to minister to Him.

Matthew 5:18

"For truly I say to you, until  heaven and earth pass away, not the smallest letter or stroke shall pass from the Law until all is accomplished.

Matthew 25:41

"Then He will also say to those on His left, 'Depart from Me, accursed ones, into the eternal  fire which has been prepared for the devil and his angels;

25:42

for  I was hungry, and you gave Me {nothing} to eat; I was thirsty, and you gave Me nothing to drink;

25:43

I  was a stranger, and you did not invite Me in; naked, and you did not clothe Me; sick, and in prison, and you did not visit Me.'

25:44

"Then  they themselves also will answer, 'Lord, when did we see You hungry, or thirsty, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not take  care of You?'

25:45

"Then He will answer them, 'Truly I say to you, to the extent that you did not do it to one of the least of these, you did not do it to Me.'

25:46

"These  will go away into eternal punishment, but the righteous into eternal  life."

Matthew 28:19

"Go  therefore and make  disciples of all the nations, baptizing  them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit,

28:20

teaching  them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I  am with you always, even to the  end of the age."

Luke

1:35

The angel answered and said to her, "The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the  Most High will overshadow you; and for that reason the holy  Child shall be called the  Son of God.

Luke 16:19

"Now  there was a rich man, and he habitually dressed in purple and fine linen, joyously living in splendor every day.

16:20

"And  a poor man named Lazarus was  laid at his gate, covered with sores,

16:21

and  longing to be fed with the {crumbs} which were falling from the rich man's table; besides, even the dogs were coming and licking his sores.

16:22

"Now  the poor man died and was carried away by the angels to Abraham's  bosom; and the rich man also died and was buried.

16:23

"In Hades  he lifted up his eyes, being in torment, and *saw Abraham far away and Lazarus in his bosom.

16:24

"And  he cried out and said, 'Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus so that he may dip the tip of his finger in water and cool off my tongue, for I am in agony in this  flame.'

16:25

"But  Abraham said, 'Child, remember that during  your life you received your good things, and likewise Lazarus bad things; but now he is being comforted here, and you are in agony.

16:26

'And  besides  all this, between us and you there is a great chasm fixed, so that those who wish to come over from here to you will not be able, and {that} none may cross over from there to us.'

 Luke 23:43

And He said to him, "Truly  I say to you, today you shall be with Me in Paradise."

John

1:1

In  the beginning was the  Word, and the Word was with God, and the  Word was God.

1:2

He  was in the beginning with God.

  1:12

But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, {even} to  those who believe in His name,

1:14

And the  Word became  flesh, and dwelt among us, and we  saw His glory, glory as of the  only begotten from the Father, full of grace and truth.

1:17

For the  Law was given through Moses; grace and truth were realized through Jesus Christ.

John 5:28

"Do not marvel at this; for an  hour is coming, in which all who are in the tombs will hear His voice,

5:29

and will come forth; those  who did the good {deeds} to a resurrection of life, those who committed the evil {deeds} to a resurrection of judgment.

 John 6:37

"All that the Father gives Me will come to Me, and the one who comes to Me I will certainly not cast out.

6:38

"For have come down from heaven, not to do My own will, but the will of Him who sent  Me.

6:39

"This  is the will of Him who sent Me, that of all that He has given Me I lose  nothing, but raise  it up on the last day.

6:40

"For this is the will of My Father, that everyone who beholds the Son and believes  in Him will have eternal life, and I Myself will raise  him up on the last day."

John 10:27

"My sheep hear  My voice, and I  know them, and they follow Me;

10:28

and  I give eternal  life to them, and they will never perish; and no  one will snatch them out of My hand.

10:29

"My  Father, who has given {them} to Me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch {them} out of the Father's hand.

10:30

"I  and the Father are one."

John 11:25

Jesus said to her, "I  am the resurrection and the life; he who believes in Me will live even if he dies,

11:26

and everyone who lives and believes in Me will never die. Do you believe this?"

John 15:7

"If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you.

 John 16:8

"And  He, when He comes, will convict the world concerning sin and righteousness and judgment;

16:9

concerning  sin, because  they do not believe in Me;

16:10

and  concerning righteousness,  because I  go to the Father and you no longer see Me;

16:11

and  concerning judgment, because the ruler of this world has been judged.

 16:12

"I R have many more things to say to you, but you cannot bear {them} now.

16:13

"But  when He, the Spirit of truth, comes, He will guide  you into all the truth; for He will not speak on His own initiative, but whatever He hears, He will speak; and He will disclose to you what is to come

Acts

 1:8

but you will receive power when  the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be My  witnesses both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria,  and even to the  remotest part of the earth."

1:9

And after He had said these things, He  was lifted up while they were looking on, and a cloud received Him out of their sight.

1:10

And as they were gazing intently into the  sky while He was going, behold, two  men in white clothing stood beside them.

Acts 2:41

So then, those who had received his word were baptized; and that day there were added about three thousand souls.

2:42

They were continually  devoting themselves to the apostles' teaching and to fellowship, to the  breaking of bread and to prayer

Acts 13:1

Now there were at Antioch,  in the church  that was {there,} prophets  and teachers:  Barnabas,  and Simeon who was called Niger, and Lucius of Cyrene,  and Manaen who had been brought up with Herod  the tetrarch, and Saul.

13:2

While they were ministering to the Lord and fasting, the  Holy Spirit said, "Set apart for Me Barnabas  and Saul for the  work to which I have called them."

13:3

Then, when they had fasted and prayed  and laid  their hands on them, they sent them away.

13:4

So, being sent  out by the Holy Spirit, they went down to Seleucia and from there they sailed to Cyprus.

Acts 14:27

When they had arrived and gathered the church together, they {began} to report  all things that God had done with them and how  He had opened a door  of faith to the Gentiles.

 Acts 15:19

"Therefore it is my  judgment that we do not trouble those who are turning to God from among the Gentiles,

15:20

but that we write to them that they abstain from things  contaminated by idols and from fornication  and from what  is strangled and from blood.

15:21

"For Moses  from ancient generations has in every city those who preach him, since he  is read in the synagogues every Sabbath."

15:22

Then it seemed good to the  apostles and the elders, with the whole church, to choose men from among them to send to Antioch  with Paul and Barnabas--Judas called Barsabbas, and Silas,  leading men among the brethren,

15:23

and they sent this letter by them, "The apostles and the brethren who are elders, to the  brethren in Antioch and Syria  and Cilicia who are from the Gentiles, greetings.

15:30

So when they were sent away, they  went down to Antioch; and having gathered the congregation  together, they delivered the letter.

15:31

When they had read it, they rejoiced because of its encouragement.

18:8

Crispus,  the leader of the synagogue, believed in the Lord with  all his household, and many of the Corinthians  when they heard were believing and being baptized.

Acts 20:17

From Miletus he sent to Ephesus  and called to him the elders of the church.

 20:28

"Be on guard for yourselves and for all the  flock, among which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers, to shepherd the  church of God which He  purchased  with His own blood.

20:29

"I know that after my departure savage wolves will come in among you, not sparing the flock;

20:30

and from among your own selves men will arise, speaking perverse things, to draw away the disciples after them.

20:31

"Therefore be on the alert, remembering that night and day for a period of three years I did not cease to admonish each one with tears.

20:32

"And now I commend  you to God and to the  word of His grace, which is able to build {you} up and to give {you} the  inheritance among all those who are sanctified.

Romans

Romans 3:10

as it is written, "THERE IS NONE RIGHTEOUS, NOT EVEN ONE;

3:11

THERE IS NONE WHO UNDERSTANDS, THERE IS NONE WHO SEEKS FOR GOD;

3:22

even {the} righteousness  of God through faith  in  Jesus Christ for all  those who  believe; for there  is no distinction;

3:23

for all have  sinned and fall short of the glory of God,

 3:24

being justified as a gift by His grace through the redemption which is in Christ Jesus;

3:25

whom God displayed publicly as a  propitiation  in His blood through faith. {This was} to demonstrate His righteousness, because in the forbearance of God He passed  over the sins previously committed;

Romans 4:25

{He} who was delivered over because of our transgressions, and was raised  because of our justification.

Romans 5:12

Therefore, just as through one  man sin entered into the world, and death  through sin, and so  death spread to all men, because all sinned--

Romans 6:13

and do not go on presenting  the  members of your body to sin {as} instruments  of unrighteousness; but present  yourselves to God as those alive from the dead, and your members {as} instruments  of righteousness to God.

Romans 6:23

For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal  life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

 Romans 8:1

Therefore there is now no condemnation  for those who are in  Christ  Jesus.

8:9

However, you are not in  the flesh but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God dwells  in you. But if  anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he does not belong to Him.

8:12

So then, brethren, we are under obligation, not to the flesh, to live according to the flesh--

8:13

for if  you are living according to the flesh, you must  die; but if by the Spirit you are putting to death the deeds of the body, you will live.

8:34

who is the one who condemns? Christ Jesus is He who died,  yes, rather who was raised,  who is at  the right hand of God, who also intercedes  for us.

8:38

For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels,  nor principalities, nor things  present, nor things to come, nor powers,

8:39

nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the  love of God, which is in  Christ Jesus our Lord.

Romans 12:1

Therefore urge you, brethren, by the mercies of God, to present  your bodies a living and holy sacrifice, acceptable  to God, {which is} your spiritual  service of worship.

12:2

And do not be  conformed to this  world,  but be transformed by the renewing  of your mind, so that you may prove  what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable  and perfect.

Romans 13:13

Let us behave  properly as in the day, not  in carousing and drunkenness, not in sexual promiscuity and sensuality, not in strife and jealousy.

13:14

But put  on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh in  regard to {its} lusts.

Romans 14:13

Therefore let us not judge one another anymore, but rather determine this--not to put an obstacle or a stumbling block in a brother's way.

Romans 16:1

I commend to you our sister Phoebe, who is a servant  of the church which is at Cenchrea;

16:4

who for my life risked their own necks, to whom not only do I give thanks, but also all the churches of the Gentiles;

 1 Corinthians

 1:4

I  thank my  God always concerning you for the grace of God which was given you in Christ Jesus,

1:5

that in everything you were enriched  in Him, in all speech and all  knowledge,

1:6

even as the testimony concerning Christ was confirmed in you,

1:7

so that you are not lacking in any gift, awaiting eagerly the revelation of our Lord Jesus Christ,

1:8

who will also confirm you to the end, blameless in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ.

1 Corinthians 3:9

For we are God's fellow  workers; you are God's field,  God's building.

3:16

Do you not know that you are a temple of God and {that} the Spirit of God dwells in you?

1 Corinthians 5:4

In  the name of our Lord Jesus, when you are assembled, and I  with you in spirit, with  the power of our Lord Jesus,

5:5

{I have decided} to deliver  such a one to Satan for the destruction of his flesh, so that his spirit may be saved in the  day of the Lord Jesus.

5:6

Your boasting is not good. Do you not know that a little leaven leavens the whole lump {of dough?}

5:7

Clean out the old leaven so that you may be a new lump, just as you are {in fact} unleavened. For Christ our Passover also has been sacrificed.

5:13

But those who are outside, God judges.  REMOVE  THE WICKED MAN FROM AMONG YOURSELVES.

1 Corinthians 9:18

What then is my reward? That, when I preach the gospel, I may offer the gospel without charge, so as not  to make full use of my right in the gospel.

1 Corinthians 11:23

For I received from the Lord that which I also delivered to you, that the  Lord Jesus in the night in which He was betrayed took bread;

11:24

and when He had given thanks, He broke it and said, "This is My body, which is for you; do this in remembrance of Me."

11:25

In the same way {He took} the  cup also after supper, saying, "This  cup is the new covenant in My blood; do this, as often as you drink {it,} in remembrance of Me."

11:26

For as often as you eat this bread and drink the cup, you proclaim the Lord's death until  He comes.

 1 Corinthians 12:4

Now there are varieties of gifts, but the same Spirit.

12:5

And there are varieties of ministries, and the same Lord.

12:6

There are varieties of effects, but the same God  who works all things in all {persons.}

12:7

But to each one is given the manifestation of the Spirit for  the common good.

12:8

For to one is given the word of wisdom through the Spirit, and to another the word of knowledge  according to the same Spirit;

12:9

to another faith  by  the same Spirit, and to another gifts of healing  by  the one Spirit,

12:10

and to another the effecting  of miracles,  and to another prophecy,  and to another the distinguishing of spirits, to another {various} kinds of tongues, and to another the interpretation 3 of tongues.

12:11

But one and the same Spirit works all these things, distributing  to each one individually just as He wills.

12:12

For even as  the body is one and {yet} has many members, and all the members of the body, though they are many, are one body, so also is Christ.

12:13

For by one Spirit we were all baptized into one body, whether Jews or Greeks, whether slaves or free, and we were all made to drink of one Spirit.

12:14

For the  body is not one member, but many.

2 Corinthians

3:6

who also made us adequate {as} servants of a new  covenant, not of the  letter but of the Spirit; for the letter kills, but the  Spirit gives life.

2 Corinthians 5:8

we are of good courage, I say, and prefer  rather to be absent from the body and to be at home with the Lord.

5:19

namely, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and He has committed  to us the word of reconciliation.

5:20

Therefore, we are ambassadors  for Christ, as though God were making an appeal through us; we beg you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled  to God.

 2 Corinthians 6:14

Do not be bound  together with unbelievers;  for what partnership  have righteousness and lawlessness, or what fellowship has light with darkness?

6:15

Or what harmony  has Christ with Belial, or what has a believer  in common with an unbeliever?

6:16

Or what  agreement has the temple of God with idols? For we are the  temple of the  living God; just as God said, "I WILL DWELL  IN THEM AND WALK AMONG THEM; AND I WILL BE THEIR GOD, AND THEY SHALL BE MY PEOPLE.

6:17

"Therefore, COME  OUT FROM THEIR MIDST AND BE SEPARATE," says the Lord. "AND DO NOT TOUCH WHAT IS UNCLEAN; And I will welcome you.

6:18

"And I will be a father to you, And you shall be sons  and daughters to Me," Says the Lord Almighty.

2 Corinthians 7:1

Therefore, having these promises, beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all defilement of flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.

2 Corinthians 11:2

For I am jealous for you with a godly jealousy; for I betrothed  you to one husband, so that to Christ I might present you {as} a pure virgin.

2 Corinthians 12:12

The signs of  a true apostle were performed among you with all perseverance, by signs  and wonders and miracles.

2 Corinthians 13:14

The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit, be with you all.

Galatians

3:13

Christ redeemed us from the curse of the Law, having become a curse for us--for it is written, "CURSED IS EVERYONE WHO HANGS ON A  TREE"

3:14

in order that in  Christ Jesus the blessing of Abraham might come  to the Gentiles, so that we would receive the  promise of the Spirit through faith.

3:15

Brethren,  speak in  terms of human relations: even  though it is {only} a man's covenant,  yet when it has been ratified, no one sets it aside or adds conditions  to it.

3:16

Now the promises were spoken to  Abraham and to his seed. He does not say, "And to seeds," as {referring} to many, but {rather} to one, "And to your seed," that is, Christ.

3:17

What I am saying is this: the Law, which came four hundred and thirty years later, does not invalidate a covenant previously ratified by God, so as to nullify the promise.

3:18

For if  the inheritance is based  on law, it is no longer based  on a promise; but God  has granted it to Abraham by means of a promise.

3:19

Why  the Law then? It was added because  of transgressions, having been ordained  through angels by  the agency  of a mediator, until the  seed would come to whom the promise had been made.

3:20

Now a  mediator is not for  one {party only;} whereas God is {only} one.

3:21

Is the Law then contrary to the promises of God? May  it never be! For if  a law had been given which was able to impart life, then righteousness would  indeed have been based on law.

3:22

But the Scripture has shut  up everyone  under sin, so that the promise by faith in Jesus Christ might be given to those who believe.

3:23

But before faith came, we were kept in custody under the law, being  shut up to the faith which was later to be revealed.

3:24

Therefore the Law has become our tutor  {to lead us} to Christ, so that we may be justified by faith.

3:25

But now that faith has come, we are no longer under a tutor.

Galatians 5:13

For you were called to freedom,  brethren; only  {do} not {turn} your freedom into an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve  one another.

5:16

But I say, walk  by the Spirit, and you will not carry out the  desire of the flesh.

5:17

For the  flesh sets  its desire against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; for these are in opposition to one another, so that you may not do the things that you please.

5:18

But if you are led  by the Spirit, you  are not under the Law.

5:19

Now the deeds of the flesh are evident, which are: immorality, impurity, sensuality,

5:20

idolatry, sorcery, enmities, strife, jealousy, outbursts of anger, disputes, dissensions, factions,

5:21

envying, drunkenness, carousing, and things like these, of which I forewarn you, just as I have forewarned you, that those who practice such things will not inherit  the kingdom of God.

5:22

But the fruit of the Spirit is love,  joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,

5:23

gentleness, self-control; against such things there  is no law.

5:24

Now those who belong  to Christ  Jesus have crucified  the flesh with its passions and desires.

5:25

If we live by the Spirit, let us also walk  by  the Spirit.

Ephesians

Ephesians 1:4

just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we would be holy and blameless before Him. In love

1:5

He predestined us to adoption as sons through Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the kind intention of His will,

1:7

In  Him we have redemption through  His blood, the forgiveness  of our trespasses, according to the  riches of His grace

Ephesians 1:10

with a view to an administration suitable  to the fullness of the times, {that is,} the summing up of all things in Christ, things in  the heavens and things on the earth. In Him

1:13

In Him, you also, after listening to the  message of truth, the gospel of your salvation--having also believed,  you were sealed in Him  with the  Holy Spirit of promise,

1:14

who is given  as a pledge of our  inheritance, with a view to the redemption  of {God's  own} possession, to  the praise of His glory

1:22

And He put  all things in subjection under His feet, and gave Him as head  over all things to the church,

1:23

which is His body,  the fullness  of Him who fills  all  in all.

 Ephesians 2:1

And you were  dead  in  your trespasses and sins,

2:2

in which you formerly walked according to the course  of this  world, according to the  prince of the power of the air, of the spirit that is now working in the  sons of disobedience.

2:8

For by  grace you have been saved through  faith; and that not of yourselves, {it is} the  gift of God;

2:9

not as a result of works, so that no  one may boast.

2:10

For we are His workmanship, created  in Christ  Jesus for good  works, which God prepared  beforehand so that we would walk  in them.

2:12

{remember} that you were at that time separate from Christ, excluded  from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers to the  covenants of promise, having no  hope and without  God in the world.

Ephesians 3:2

if indeed you have heard of the stewardship  of God's grace which was given to me for you;

3:3

that  by revelation there was made known to me the  mystery, as  I wrote before in brief.

3:4

By referring to this, when you read you can understand my  insight into  the mystery  of Christ,

3:5

which in other generations was not made known to the sons of men, as it has now been revealed to His holy apostles  and prophets in  the Spirit;

3:6

{to be specific,} that the Gentiles are fellow  heirs and fellow members of the body, and fellow  partakers of the promise in Christ  Jesus through the gospel,

3:7

of  which I was made a minister,  according to the gift of God's  grace which was given to me according  to the working of His power.

3:8

To me, the  very least of all saints,  this grace was given, to preach  to the Gentiles the unfathomable riches of Christ,

3:9

and to bring  to light what is the administration of the mystery  which for ages has been hidden  in God who  created all things;

3:10

so that the manifold wisdom  of God might now be made  known through the church to the rulers  and the authorities in the heavenly {places.}

Ephesians 4:7

But to  each one of us grace was given according  to the measure of Christ's gift.

4:8

Therefore it  says, "WHEN HE ASCENDED ON HIGH, HE LED  CAPTIVE A HOST OF CAPTIVES, AND HE GAVE GIFTS TO MEN."

4:9

(Now this {expression,} "He ascended,"  what does  it mean except that He also had  descended into the  lower parts of the earth?

4:10

He who descended is Himself also He who ascended far  above all the heavens, so that He might fill  all things.)

4:11

And He gave  some  {as} apostles, and some {as} prophets, and some {as} evangelists,  and some {as} pastors and teachers,

4:12

for  the equipping of the saints  for the work of service, to the building up of the  body of Christ;

4:22

that, in reference to your former manner of life, you lay aside the old  self,  which is being corrupted in accordance with the lusts  of deceit,

4:23

and that you be renewed  in the spirit of your mind,

4:24

and put  on the new  self,  which in  {the likeness of} God has been created in righteousness and holiness of the truth.

Ephesians 5:18

And do not get drunk with wine, for  that is dissipation,  but be filled  with the Spirit,

5:25

Husbands,  love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave  Himself up for her,

5:26

so  that He might sanctify her, having cleansed  her by the washing  of water with the  word,

5:27

that He might present  to Himself the church in  all her glory, having no spot or wrinkle or any such thing; but that she would be holy and blameless.

Philippians

1:23

But I am hard-pressed from both {directions,} having the desire to depart and be  with Christ, for {that} is very much better;

Philippians 3:21

who will transform  the  body of our humble state into conformity  with the  body  of His glory, by  the exertion of the power that He has even to subject  all things to Himself.

Colossians

1:24

Now I rejoice in my sufferings for your sake, and in my flesh I do  my share on behalf of His body, which is the church, in filling up what is lacking in  Christ's afflictions.

1:25

Of {this church} I was  made a minister according to the stewardship from God bestowed on me for your benefit, so that I might fully carry out the {preaching of} the word of God,

Colossians 3:10

and have put  on the new self who is being renewed  to a true knowledge according  to the image of the One who created  him--

1 Thessalonians

1:10

and to wait for His Son from heaven, whom He raised  from the dead, {that is} Jesus, who rescues us from the wrath to come.

 4:13

But we do not want you to be uninformed, brethren, about those who are  asleep, so that you will not grieve as do the rest who have no  hope.

4:14

For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will bring with Him those  who have fallen asleep in Jesus.

4:15

For this we say to you by  the word of the Lord, that we  who are alive and  remain until the coming of the Lord, will not precede those  who have fallen asleep.

4:16

For the Lord Himself  will descend from heaven with a shout,  with the voice of {the} archangel and with the trumpet  of God, and the  dead in Christ will rise first.

4:17

Then we  who are alive and  remain will be caught  up together with them in  the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we shall always be with the Lord.

4:18

Therefore comfort one another with these words.

1 Thessalonians 5:9

For God has not destined us for wrath,  but for obtaining  salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ,

2 Thessalonians

1:7

and {to give} relief to you who are afflicted and to us as well when the Lord Jesus will be revealed from  heaven with His mighty angels in flaming fire,

1:8

dealing out retribution to those who do not know God and to those who do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus.

1:9

These will pay the penalty of eternal destruction, away  from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of His power,

1 Timothy

3:1

It  is a trustworthy statement: if any man aspires to the office  of overseer,  it is a fine work he desires {to do.}

3:2

An  overseer, then, must be above reproach, the  husband of one wife, temperate,  prudent, respectable, hospitable,  able  to teach,

3:3

not addicted to wine or pugnacious, but gentle, peaceable, free from the love of money.

3:4

{He must be} one who manages  his own household well, keeping his children under control with all dignity

3:5

(but if a man does not know how to manage his own household, how will he take care of the  church of God?),

3:6

{and} not a new convert, so that he will not become conceited  and fall into the condemnation  incurred  by the devil.

3:7

And he must have  a good reputation with those  outside {the church,} so that he will not fall into reproach and the  snare of the devil.

3:8

Deacons  likewise {must be} men of dignity, not double-tongued,  or  addicted to much wine or  fond of sordid gain,

3:9

{but}  holding to the mystery of the faith with a clear conscience.

3:10

These  men must also first be tested; then let them serve as deacons if they are beyond reproach.

3:11

Women  {must} likewise {be} dignified, not  malicious gossips, but temperate,  faithful in all things.

3:12

Deacons  must be husbands  of {only} one wife, {and} good  managers of {their} children and their own households.

3:13

For those who have served well as deacons obtain  for themselves a high  standing and great confidence in the faith that is in Christ Jesus.

1 Timothy 4:10

For it is for this we labor and strive, because we have fixed our hope on the  living God, who is the  Savior of all men, especially of believers.

2 Timothy

3:1

But realize this, that in  the last days difficult times will come.

3:2

For men will be lovers  of self, lovers  of money, boastful,  arrogant,  revilers,  disobedient  to parents, ungrateful,  unholy,

3:3

unloving,  irreconcilable, malicious  gossips, without self-control, brutal, haters of good,

3:4

treacherous,  reckless, conceited,  lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God,

3:5

holding to a form of godliness,  although they have denied  its power; Avoid  such men as these.

2 Timothy  3:16

All  Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training  in righteousness;

3:17

so that the  man of God may be adequate, equipped  for every good work.

Titus

1:5

For this reason I left you in Crete,  that you would set in order what remains and appoint  elders  in every city as I directed you,

1:6

{namely,} if any man is above reproach, the husband of one wife, having children who believe, not accused of dissipation  or rebellion.

1:7

For the overseer  must be above reproach as God's  steward, not self-willed, not quick-tempered, not addicted  to wine, not pugnacious, not fond of sordid gain,

1:8

but hospitable,  loving  what is good, sensible, just, devout, self-controlled,

1:9

holding  fast the faithful word which is in accordance with the teaching, so that he will be able both to exhort in sound  doctrine and to refute those who contradict.

1:10

For  there are many rebellious  men, empty  talkers and deceivers, especially those of the circumcision,

1:11

who must be silenced because they are upsetting whole  families, teaching things  they should not {teach} for  the sake of sordid gain.

Titus 2:11

For the grace of God has appeared,  bringing  salvation to all men,

2:12

instructing  us to deny ungodliness and worldly  desires and to  live sensibly, righteously and godly in  the present age,

2:13

looking for the blessed hope and the appearing  of the glory of our great God and Savior, Christ Jesus,

2:14

who gave  Himself for us to  redeem us from every lawless deed, and to purify  for Himself a people for His own possession, zealous  for good deeds.

2:15

These things speak and exhort  and reprove  with all authority.  Let  no one disregard you.

Hebrews

2:9

But we do see Him who was made  for  a little while lower than the angels, {namely,} Jesus, because  of the suffering of death crowned with glory and honor, so that by the grace of God He might taste  death for  everyone.

Hebrews 4:15

For we do not have a high priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but One who has been tempted in all things as {we are, yet} without sin.

4:16

Therefore let us draw near with confidence to the throne of grace, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.

Hebrews 7:19

(for the  Law made nothing perfect), and on the other hand there is a bringing in of a better hope,  through which we draw  near to God.

7:25

Therefore He is able also to save  forever those who draw  near to God through Him, since He always lives to make  intercession for them.

Hebrews 9:24

For Christ did not enter a holy place made with hands, a {mere} copy of the  true one, but into heaven  itself, now to  appear in the presence of God for us;

Hebrews 13:5

{Make sure that} your character is free from the love of money, being content with what you have; for He Himself has said, "I WILL NEVER DESERT YOU, NOR WILL I EVER FORSAKE YOU,"

1 Peter

1:3

Blessed  be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according  to His great mercy has  caused us to be born again to a  living hope through the resurrection  of Jesus Christ from the dead,

1:4

to {obtain} an inheritance  {which is} imperishable and undefiled and will  not fade away, reserved  in heaven for you,

1:5

who are protected  by the power of God through  faith for a  salvation ready to  be revealed in the last time.

1:14

As obedient  children, do not be  conformed to the former lusts {which were yours} in your ignorance,

1:15

but like  the Holy One who called you, be  holy yourselves also in  all {your} behavior;

1:16

because it is written, "YOU SHALL BE HOLY, FOR I AM HOLY."

1:18

knowing that you were not redeemed  with perishable things like silver or gold from your futile  way of life inherited from your forefathers,

1:19

but with precious blood,  as of a lamb  unblemished and spotless, {the blood} of Christ.

1 Peter 2:24

and He Himself bore  our sins in His body on the cross,  so that we might  die to sin  and live to righteousness; for by  His wounds  you were healed.

1 Peter 5:1

Therefore,  I exhort the elders among you, as {your} fellow elder and witness of the sufferings of Christ, and a partaker  also of the glory that is to be revealed,

5:2

shepherd the  flock of God among you, exercising oversight not  under compulsion, but voluntarily, according to {the will of} God; and not  for sordid gain, but with eagerness;

5:3

nor yet as lording  it over those  allotted to your charge, but proving  to be examples  to the flock.

5:4

And when the Chief Shepherd  appears, you will receive the unfading crown  of glory.
1 Peter 5:6

Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you at the proper time,

5:7

casting all your anxiety on Him, because He cares for you.

2 Peter

1:20

But know  this first of all, that no  prophecy of Scripture is {a matter} of one's own interpretation,

1:21

for no prophecy was ever made by an act of human will, but men moved  by the Holy Spirit spoke from God.

2 Peter 2:1

But false prophets also arose among the people, just as there will also be false teachers among  you, who will secretly introduce destructive heresies, even denying  the Master who bought  them, bringing swift destruction upon themselves.

1 John

2:1

My little children, I am writing  these things to you so that you may not sin. And if anyone sins, we  have an Advocate  with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous;

2:2

and He Himself is the  propitiation  for our sins; and not for ours only, but also for  {those of} the whole world.

2:15

Do not love the  world nor the things in the world. If  anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him.

2:16

For all that is in the world, the  lust of the flesh and the  lust of the eyes and the  boastful pride of life, is not from the Father, but is from the world.

2:17

The  world is passing away, and {also} its lusts; but the one who does  the will of God lives forever.

 1 John 2:20

But you have an anointing  from the  Holy One, and you  all know

2:27

As for you, the anointing  which you received from Him abides in you, and you have no need for anyone to teach you; but as His anointing teaches  you about all things, and is true  and is not a lie, and just as it has taught you, you abide in Him.

1 John 3:5

You know that He appeared in order to take  away sins; and in  Him there is no sin.

3:6

No one who abides in Him sins;  no one who sins has seen Him or knows Him.

3:7

Little children, make sure no one deceives  you; the  one who practices righteousness is righteous, just as He is righteous;

3:8

the one who practices sin is of  the devil; for the devil has sinned from the beginning. The  Son of God appeared  for this purpose, to destroy the works of the devil.

3:9

No one who is born  of God practices  sin, because His seed abides in him; and he cannot sin, because he is born  of God.

1 John 5:14

This is the  confidence which we have before  Him, that, if  we ask anything according to His will, He hears us.

5:15

And if we know that He hears us {in} whatever we ask, we  know that we have the requests which we have asked from Him.

2 John

1:9

Anyone who goes  too far and does  not abide in the teaching of Christ, does not have God; the one who abides in the teaching, he has both the Father and the Son.

1:10

If anyone comes to you and does not bring this teaching, do  not receive him into {your} house, and do not give him a greeting;

1:11

for the one who gives him a greeting participates  in his evil deeds.

Jude

1:6

And angels  who did not keep their own domain, but abandoned their proper abode, He has kept in eternal bonds under darkness for the judgment of the great day,

1:7

just as Sodom  and Gomorrah and the cities  around them, since they in the same way as these indulged in gross immorality and went after strange flesh, are exhibited as an example  in undergoing the punishment of eternal fire.

Revelation

3:10

'Because you have kept  the word of My  perseverance, also will keep you from the hour of testing, that {hour} which is about to come upon the whole world,  to test  those who dwell on the earth.

Revelation 19:11

And I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white  horse, and He who sat on it {is} called Faithful  and True, and in righteousness  He judges and wages war.

19:12

His eyes {are} a flame of fire, and on His head {are} many diadems;  and He has a name written {on Him} which no one knows except Himself.

19:13

{He is} clothed with a robe dipped in blood, and His name is called The Word of God.

19:14

And the armies which are in heaven, clothed in fine  linen, white {and} clean, were following Him on white horses.

19:15

From His mouth comes a sharp sword, so that with it He may strike down the nations, and He will rule them with a rod of iron; and He treads the wine  press of the fierce wrath of God, the Almighty.

19:16

And on His robe and on His thigh He has a name written, "KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS."

Revelation 20:1

Then I saw an  angel coming down from heaven, holding the key  of the abyss and a great chain in  his hand.

 20:2

And he laid hold of the dragon,  the serpent of old, who is the devil and Satan, and bound  him for a thousand years;

20:3

and he threw him into the abyss,  and shut {it} and sealed  {it} over him, so that he would not  deceive the nations any longer, until the thousand years were completed; after these things he must be released for a short time.

20:4

Then I saw thrones,  and they  sat on them, and judgment  was given to them. And I {saw} the  souls of those who had been beheaded because of their testimony  of Jesus and because of the word of God, and those who had not worshiped  the beast or his image, and had not received the mark  on their forehead and on their hand; and they came  to life and reigned  with Christ for a thousand years.

20:5

The rest of the dead did not come to life until the thousand years were completed. This  is the first resurrection.

20:6

Blessed  and holy is the one who has a part in the first resurrection; over these the second death has no power, but they will be priests of God and of Christ and will reign  with Him for a thousand years.

20:10

And the devil who deceived  them was thrown into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast  and the false  prophet are also; and they will be tormented day and night forever and ever.

20:11

Then I saw a great white throne  and Him who sat upon it, from whose presence earth  and heaven fled away, and no  place was found for them.

20:12

And I saw the dead, the great  and the small, standing before the throne, and books  were opened; and another book  was opened, which is {the  book} of life; and the dead were  judged from the things which were written in the books, according  to their deeds.

20:13

And the sea gave up the dead which were in it, and death  and Hades gave  up the dead which were in them; and they were judged, every one {of them} according  to their deeds.
